Hayden Paul Davenport was 2 years old when, on September 18, 2007, he wandered off, fell into a pool and drowned. He was our son, our brother, our grandson, our nephew and our cousin. We never thought something like this could happen to our family. But on that terrible day, our lives changed forever.

Our family has decided to honor little Hayden's life even as we mourn his passing. We are trying to get a law passed that will hopefully prevent this from happening to any other family. We would like the law to state that any pool, in ground or above ground, should have a fence at least four feet high surrounding its perimeter. That fence should also have a gate with a lock out of the reach of any young child. This law will be known as HAYDEN'S LAW.
